Cookies are small pieces of data that a website stores in your browser. Your browser sends the cookie back to the site on later requests, which lets the site recognize you across page visits. This policy explains which cookies SkillTesseract uses and why.

SkillTesseract uses a single, strictly necessary, first-party cookie to keep you signed in:

This cookie is set only after you sign in, is HttpOnly (not readable by page scripts) and marked Secure in production, and contains an encrypted token — it does not contain your password. It is issued by our own domain, not by a third party.

SkillTesseract does not currently use any analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics), advertising or retargeting cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party tracking cookies of any kind. We do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers.

Regulations such as the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR require consent banners for non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising, tracking). They do not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you've requested, such as staying logged in. Because our only cookie is strictly necessary for authentication, we don't show an accept/decline banner. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy and add an appropriate consent mechanism before those cookies are set.

Because our session cookie is required to keep you signed in, blocking or deleting it will sign you out and may prevent parts of the Service from working. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings; you will simply need to sign in again afterward.

We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
