Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SkillTesseract (the "Service"), an AI-powered mock interview platform for universities, colleges, and their students. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have authority to bind that institution.

• Accounts are created directly or through an invitation from your institution.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

Institution admins may invite students, assign interviews, and view student progress, transcripts, reports, and proctoring summaries within their own organization. Students are granted access to the platform under the terms set by their institution and these Terms. Institutions are responsible for ensuring their use of student data complies with applicable law and their own policies toward students.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with proctoring, authentication, rate limiting, or other security features of the Service.
• Access or attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Upload content you do not have the right to upload, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond normal use.
• Use the Service to train a competing product or resell access to the Service.

Certain interview modes include browser-based proctoring. While an interview is active, the Service may monitor window focus, tab switching, clipboard actions, right-click attempts, and fullscreen status, and may automatically end an interview if accumulated violations reach a configured threshold. Browser-based proctoring has inherent limitations and cannot detect all forms of misconduct, such as the use of a separate device outside the browser. By taking a proctored interview, you agree to these monitoring practices as disclosed to you before the interview begins.

Interview questions, spoken/avatar responses, and feedback reports are generated using third-party artificial intelligence services. AI-generated feedback is provided for practice and self-improvement purposes only. It is not a guarantee of performance in an actual job interview and should not be treated as professional, career, or legal advice. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.

You retain ownership of the resume content, spoken responses, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to use, process, and store it solely to operate and improve the Service, including sharing it with the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit Your Content.

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by SkillTesseract and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, including for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, including by attempting to circumvent proctoring or security controls. Institutions may also remove student access in accordance with their own arrangements with us. You may stop using the Service at any time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated interview feedback will improve your interview outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SkillTesseract shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
